“I came to work for GfK Panel Services 22 years ago. The company wasn't actually part of GfK at the time, but that's beside the point. From then till now, I’ve hardly regretted it for a minute. There are always things you like less than others or that you actually disagree with, but none of these has ever led me to leave this company.

22 years certainly feels like a long time and perhaps it’s not what people do nowadays. But the important thing for me is to have variety in my job. I need challenges and an environment that stimulates me. And that is exactly the kind of environment I’ve found here – in my colleagues, the culture, the enterprising focus, in other words coordinated action and all aiming for the same goal.

And there are plenty of challenges: we are ambitious and focus on results and development, while our target market (FMCG) is showing signs of stagnation, rationalisation and cost-cutting. Achieving the result is therefore not a given, which makes it even more exciting and challenging in my eyes.

I’ve actually always had a varied job here. My first years as an Account Manager introduced me to the dynamics of the market and all the different clients I had to attend to. Variety in my later jobs came from expanding themes, management aspects and certainly also again the immense dynamics in the market and at clients in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector. And now too, my current role, in which I’m responsible for the Fast Moving Consumer Goods division (Commerce and Operations) reinforces the decision I made a few years ago to stay with this fine company. ”
