“I’ve been working for GfK for almost seven years now. Before that I spent over 15 years as a Human Resources Manager at major international companies. These companies produced appealing, fine and reputable brands. All these companies took operational, tactical and strategic advice from GfK’s ‘Fact Based Consultants’. Sales, Marketing, New Product Development and Trade Marketing harbour no secrets from GfK.
My career in the P&O field started in the production of means of transport. After that, I moved to the production of potato crisps, extruded savoury snacks, meal components and many types of delicious snacks, all from a well-known manufacturer in the Benelux. In a roundabout way I came into contact with an enthusiastic GfK employee. He persuaded me to come and work for GfK. And now I’m privileged to work with the Board and our Management Team on shaping our personnel policy. I’ve never regretted it for a minute. From manufacturing to an office job! Many of my colleagues have made the same move. Acquiring experience in manufacturing makes you a valuable asset and is the basis for successful consultancy and advice.
GfK sets ambitious goals. These goals lead to growth, year in, year out. And it’s not only the sales and profitability of our clients and of GfK that continue to grow. Our most important ‘asset’, our employees, profit from it too and grow at the same time. Development and progress are the most important factors underlying our ability to perform and innovate successfully. My three HRM colleagues and I are immensely proud to be at the heart of the development of the organisation and all its employees who work for us.
GfK knows everything about consumers and what motivates them in the context of purchasing behaviour. The company’s brilliant analytical minds predict consumer behaviour and advise local, regional and globally operating clients. You could well ask: “Who isn't actually one of GfK’s clients?”GfK is emblematic of an exceedingly professional organisation, where collaboration and team spirit are of paramount importance. These are the core competencies that determine our success. The corporate culture, with its own standards and values, is immensely appealing to me.
If you are also looking for an employer for whom flexibility, pleasure & care, openness & honesty, respect & appreciation, credibility & integrity and involvement & dedication are of paramount importance, contact us for a challenging career. And I should know: at GfK you’ve come to the right place!
In the last few decades, GfK has developed into a market research company of global stature. You have to admit: being in the top four worldwide for market research has to be something to be proud of! GfK operates in over 100 countries with more than 11,000 employees. This gives employees a gigantic international network of colleagues, all of whom have one goal: ‘Growth from Knowledge’. If you have ambitions to pursue an international career, you could find yourself sharing knowledge in Australia or possibly even in Belarus or Ukraine. Or would you rather stay in the Netherlands? No problem, because by working for us you can travel the world virtually too.
Our clients are growing, our organisation is growing and our employees are growing. Our international strategy: ‘See, Be and Own the Future’ is fully compatible with this. Would you like to influence the future too? Contact us and, who knows, I may soon be welcoming you as a new colleague. Take it from me, that orange GfK feeling is catching, but it’s certainly attractive too! See you soon. ”
